Great value for money with a basic butnice and neat room. The laid-back atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home.

The menu for breakfast could be improved with more variety and options.

The rooms at Berkenhoff Lodge are cozy and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing stay. I loved having our own ensuite bathroom with a toilet and shower, it felt like our own little sanctuary. Plus, the free WiFi was a nice bonus for staying connected with friends and family.

Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the dormitory style rooms. However, I know some people enjoy the communal experience and it might be great for budget travelers.

I had the most wonderful time at this lodge! the owner was incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. the location was perfect, just a short walk to the beautiful lake and a relaxing thermal area nearby. the room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of the garden. the facilities were great, with a swimming pool to enjoy and common areas to relax and socialize. the kitchen was well-equipped, and I even got to try some delicious free vegetables from their garden.

The towels provided were a bit rough.

The lodge was absolutely mind-blowing! It was so comfortable, clean, and had the most chill atmosphere ever. The staff were super friendly and the facilities were incredibly spacious. The game room with pool and ping-pong tables was jaw-dropping and the swimming pool was a refreshing bonus. The free Wi-Fi worked flawlessly and the owner's relaxed and friendly attitude was a pleasant surprise. The cat added a welcoming touch. The hostel's easy accessibility and great facilities, including pro recycling, made our stay even better. The drop-off service provided by Brett was a game-changer. The kitchen was amazing, beds were comfy, and the common areas were fantastic. This was hands down one of the most comfortable hostels we stayed in during our New Zealand trip. We definitely recommend it!

Great service at a budget price. Got free airport pickup and bike rental to explore. Linen, carpets, and bathrooms were spotless. Multiple communal areas to relax and socialize. Close enough to walk to everything, but biking is a great option. Loved the Rotary bike track.

Some staff members were not as helpful or friendly. Some issues with theft and unruly behavior in communal areas.

We loved the friendly staff, cool labels, and the free shuttle service. the kitchen was nice and tidy, with gas stoves and a good oven. the eating area and living room were great for chilling out and watching Netflix. And of course, we can't forget about the cat!

The parking facilities at the hotel were excellent, making it convenient for me to bring my own transportation. I found the prices to be quite reasonable, especially considering the other options in the area.

I was disappointed to find that basic amenities such as towels and soap were not provided in the room, and had to be hired for an additional fee. The WiFi connection was unreliable and often required a separate charge, which was frustrating.

I had an amazing stay at this lodge. The manager were really good, picking me up and dropping me off at the bus station. The kitchen and eating area were huge, never overcrowded, and perfect for cooking. Another great feature was the garden out back, where I could pick my own fresh vegetables. My private double room was comfortable and well equipped, and the shower had plenty of hot water. The staff were friendly and the facilities, including the game room with pool and ping-pong tables, were spacious and enjoyable. I had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again.

Despite a few small issues with lights and blankets, our overall experience was positive.

During my Christmas stay, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service and friendliness of the staff. They were accommodating and helpful, ensuring that my tight schedule was not compromised. the hostel offered exactly what was advertised, with no unpleasant surprises.

The lack of communication and information regarding booked trips was a bit disappointing. some guests did not clean up after themselves in the common areas, making the kitchen a bit untidy at times.
